AI as Your
Partner

Brayan Tenesaca · Next Generation Learners

How many of you
used AI this week?

Now... how many of your students did?

Who I Am

Danbury kid.
Babson student.
18-year-old founder.

FEAR

Why I'm Here

I saw fear
everywhere.

Parents afraid their kids won't be prepared.

Students afraid they'll get caught.

Schools afraid they can't keep up.

Teachers afraid they'll be replaced.

You will
not be replaced.

What AI Can Never Do

AI cannot care
about your students.

No machine stays after school because a kid had a bad day.

Teaching is the
most important job
on earth.

Our first teachers were our parents. Then you.
You pass wisdom from one generation to the next.
Without you, we don't have a society.

AI is here to make
the most important job
a little easier.

Less time on admin. More time on what only you can do.

From Our Pilots

We taught 4th graders
to disagree with AI.

By session 4, students were revising prompts,
questioning outputs, and explaining WHY.

AI literacy doesn't
replace thinking.

It makes thinking visible.

The Mindset Shift

Employee Mindset

"Do this for me."

One prompt. One answer. Done.
This is what cheating looks like.

Partner Mindset

"Help me think."

Back-and-forth. Questions. Iteration.
The human stays in control.

Let me
show you.

Live Demo 1

Lesson Plan
Partner

"Ask ME questions first."

Live Demo 2

Differentiation
in 60 seconds.

Same rigor. Different pathway.

Live Demo 3

Practice before
class, not during it.

AI acts as your confused student.

Live Demo 4

Feedback that
sounds like you.

Specific. Encouraging. One thing to improve.

Lesson 1 — From Our Danbury Pilot

What AI Is
And What It Isn't

By the end, students believe: "AI is a tool, not a brain — and my thinking matters."

1. Set the Culture
3 norms: no wrong answers, think first, respect ideas
2. Icebreaker
Name, favorite color, dogs or cats — and WHY
3. Mind Map
"Your brain on paper." What you think AI is. No right or wrong.
4. Turn & Talk
Teach your partner 1 thing you know about AI
5. The 4 Truths
AI doesn't think. Doesn't understand. Doesn't know truth. Made by humans.
6. Reflect
"What changed on your mind map? What surprised you?"

This is the exact lesson we ran at the Danbury Library. Full details on the toolkit page.
